Lunch on Personal and Subject Matter Jurisdiction

Lunch-on-Personal-and-Subject-Matter-Jurisdiction

Personal and Subject Matter Jurisdiction: When can a judge tell you what to do?

We’ll cover how a judge gets her authority to make and enforce decisions on financial and children’s issues, and what happens with there is more than one court that is, or could be, involved. We’ll cover subject matter jurisdiction, personal jurisdiction, including long-arm jurisdiction over persons outside of Florida, and the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act.
